Lucy has become one of techno’s finest actors through his personal discography and by building his Stroboscopic Artefacts imprint. The deep and at times abstract, yet dancefloor-driven nature of his sound has made him a frequent guest and collaborator on a wide array of platforms. At Klankvorm you can witness his bewitching hybrid of analogue love and digital excellence.
Samuel Kerridge, with his signature sonic arsenal, frequents the worlds of rhythm and noise. Whether experienced via his releases on Downwards records, Blueprint, Horizontal Ground, and his own imprint (and event series) Contort, or live, you become subjected to overwhelming waves of hyper-sensory stimulation.
Metrist (aka L.SAE) is an extremely multi-faceted artist with releases on labels such as Opal Tapes, Where to Now?, Zallogut and Timedance. Coming from a background in bass music of all moulds, his sound has evolved into a noisy, tech-punk sound-clash. Metrist delves into carefully constructed and deeply rhythmic but ear-grabbingly idiosyncratic, mixed fidelity dancefloor-geared oddities.
Sarah Foulquiere aka Fawkes’ recent output includes an appearance on Jlin’s Black Origami and her debut mixtape on Halcyon Veil. Fawkes weaves intricate webs of shattered club atmospheres, commanding vocals, gothic R&B succour and convulsive digital glitch.
BAS VAN KOOLWIJK
Bas van Koolwijk uses sound and image, be it analogue or in numerical code, as interchangeable data. He produces visual and acoustic compositions in which both manifestations powerfully interact. To perform these interactions between sound and image Van Koolwijk develops hardware and software applications.
Ekman is a mainstay name in the electronic music scene. His tranquilizing bass-lines and sedative melodies have inspired an output of records on labels such as The Trilogy Tapes, Shipwrec, Crème Organization, Panzerkreuz, Berceuse Heroique and New York Haunted.
ANNI NOPS & ILYA LUKOVNIKOV
Anni Nöps (aka An Ni) sifts through a vast range of electronic genres. Her explorative and genre fluid DJ sets simultaneously embrace hard-hitting percussion that branch out of industrial grime, glimpses of noise and floating melodies to form dense and abrasive soundscapes. Anni Nöps is affiliated with the SISTER platform, a global network of women in electronic music.
This performance is a commissioned work by Klankvorm and technically supported by Resolume.
Donia Jourabchi is a sound explorer of contextual relations between body and space within the materiality of sound - an experimental approach towards a spatial practice of sound. Her works question situated knowledges manifested in the physicality of sound, reflecting on the social conditions in the context-dependent and community-based articulation of site-specificity.
Marco Broeders aka Co2RO has and continues to have an enormous impact on our environments whilst we find ourselves at numerous arts and culture events in the Netherlands, which he audio visually enhances. Broeders designs and constructs site-specific objects, spatial interiors and tactile analogue light works.
Jeisson Drenth is a video artist and designer dedicated to making experimental and meaningful contributions to contemporary visual culture. His studies in graphic design at the WdKA nurtured his interests in network culture and semiotics which in turn inspired his live shows and design projects.
